Congratulations to our 2019 L.I.F.E Scholarship Finalists

The Lupus Inspiration Foundation for Excellence (L.I.F.E.) Scholarship Committee would like to thank all applicants--whether just graduating from high school, in college, renewal award, reapplying, or a first-year graduate student--for applying. It requires considerable time, energy, and bravery to complete the application process for our merit-based awards, especially when the application pool is competitive and uniquely diversified. It is truly an honor to be amongst your peers on the list of finalists. As expected, all of the 2019 L.I.F.E. Scholarship finalists display courage, relentless determination, and most importantly, a willingness to help others by sharing their story.

Our 501(c)(3) non-profit has received national recognition for its efforts to spread lupus awareness throughout the country. In addition to the traditional L.I.F.E. Scholarships awarded in August, we also have special awards. They can be awarded year-round to highly qualified students attending college in a state NOT REPRESENTED yet by a L.I.F.E. scholarship. This year, our L.I.F.E. Scholarship Committee was excited to learn that we have not one, but three qualified finalists for this special award.

L.I.F.E. is also pleased to announce a renewed Honorary L.I.F.E. Scholarship for Jeri Venegas. Jeri has volunteered to our non-profit by using her abilities as an artist to design and present ideas for L.I.F.E.'s upcoming book.

Every finalist has the potential to be a L.I.F.E. Scholarship Winner! The L.I.F.E. Team and its President are volunteering numerous hours to find sponsors for as many finalists as possible. We hope to announce the 2019 L.I.F.E. Scholarship recipients by the end of August. Visit L.I.F.E.'s website frequently for the announcement. The announcement will include directions for the 2019 winners as well. Winners will be announced in groups or as we secure a sponsor. Again, it is important to visit our website frequently until we state the final group of 2019 L.I.F.E. Scholarship recipients.
