Emily Edwards - 2022/23 L.I.F.E. Scholarship Winner
The Lupus Inspiration Foundation for Excellence (L.I.F.E.) is excited to announce Emily Edwards as a top 2022/23 L.I.F.E. Scholarship Recipient. This scholarship is awarded to outstanding college students, like Emily, who is overcoming the difficulties of lupus with unbelievable perseverance.
Emily Edwards was recently honored by her college - Millikan University as a James Millikin Honor Scholar and Leighty Science Scholar. Emily is the epitome of what the L.I.F.E. organization stands for.
As President & Co-founder of L.I.F.E., I celebrate her achievements, admire all her unique qualities, and know Emily will persevere with grace whatever challenges lupus presents. Emily has already overcome so many setbacks from lupus at such a young age, but her mental fortitude is admirable.
When I recently asked Emily what her favorite quote is, I was not surprised by her response:

I have had a challenging couple years with my own lupus, and Emily has inspired me to continue fighting. Thank you Emily, and I am so proud of you!
